Marcos Ramirez came into the MotoGP™ paddock as a race winner in the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™ Junior World Championship. A former Red Bull MotoGP Rookie, Ramirez is another Spanish talent looking to make the leap from CEV frontrunner to Moto3™ serious contender, after a second place in the Moto3™ Junior World Championship in 2016 and 19 points scored in the Moto3™ World Championship after lining up from mid-season - including two top ten finishes, in Phillip Island and Sepang. For 2017 Ramirez remained with Platinum Bay Real Estate and made a big impression, taking two podiums and more top results. He took another two podiums in 2018, before switching to Leopard Racing. It was a move that paid off as he secured 3rd overall in the Championship thanks to two race wins, at the Catalan and British GPs. 2020 saw him make the move up to Moto2™, where despite three top 10 finishes, it proved a year of learning as he finished 19th overall. His development continued the following season as he was a regular point scorer while in 2022, a move to MV Augusta came, but it was a disappointing year for the Spaniard. In 2023, he would try again with the same team, but halfway through the season, the Spaniard would return to the Onlyfans American Racing Team and manage to turn things around completely, securing his first podium in the category in Malaysia. Now, the Andalusian has all the tools he needs to shine in 2024.
