In 2013, Aron Canet joined the CEV in the Pre-Moto3™ category, graduating to the full CEV Moto3™ championship in 2014. His major break came in 2015 in the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™ Junior World Championship when he joined the Estrella Galicia 0,0 Junior Team and challenged for the title, an unfortunate injury setting him back late in the season before he finished third. His efforts earned him a seat with the Estrella Galicia 0,0 team on the world stage in 2016, where he took a rookie podium at Phillip Island, a maiden pole at home in Valencia. Canet remained at EG 0,0 in 2017 and took three wins, further podiums and two poles – taking P3 overall and ready for an assault on the title in 2018 with the same team. That didn't quite go to plan and the year was interrupted by injury, and for 2019 Canet moved to Sterilgarda Max Racing Team. Three victories and four podiums saw him fight for the title, but having to settle for 2nd overall, however, it was enough to prompt Aspar Team to give him a seat in Moto2™ for the 2020 campaign. His adaptation was rapid, with seven Top 10 finishes in nine races helping him claim the Rookie of the Year crown despite a broken left hand. 2021 saw the Spaniard take a huge step forward as he claimed 6th in the Championship race, with a maiden podium in Portimao being followed up four more. 2022 saw the Spaniard contend for the title, with eight podium finishes keeping him in the mix before eventually claiming third. With the FlexBox HP40 team in 2023, the Valencian rider would finish fifth overall, despite securing seven podiums. Can the Spanish rider achieve his first victory in the intermediate class with the Fantic Racing colours in 2024?
