CIV Pre-Moto3 champion in 2014, Italian Tony Arbolino then moved to the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™ Junior World Championship for 2015 and won his first race in the series the following year. The Italian then joined the Moto3™ World Championship as part of a new project with SIC58 Squadra Corse, his CEV team, as they added another string to their bow and headed onto the world stage. For 2018, the Italian switched to Marinelli Rivacold Snipers as he continued pushing forward, taking some solid top ten results, flighting at the front and securing his first two pole positions. 2019 saw him earn race wins in Italy and the Netherlands, with five podiums and a series of Top 6 finishes seeing him finish fourth in the standings. 2020 started off with a bang, with Arbolino securing third place in the Spanish GP, while three second place finishes helped keep his title hopes alive despite not having a race that season. Victory finally came in Valencia, much to his delight, with fifth place in the Portuguese GP seeing him end his Moto3™ career as runner up. 2021 saw him make the move to the intermediate class with Liqui Moly IntactGP, where he struggled to find consistency. Four top ten finishes, including a best of fourth in Le Mans, earned him a move to Marc VDS for 2022 and it didn’t take him long to settle into his new surroundings. Three consecutive top eight finishes were followed by a maiden Moto2™ victory at COTA, and he added two more wins to his name during the latter stages of the campaign at Thailand and Malaysia. 2023 sees him remain with the Marc VDS outfit, and setting his sights on Championship glory.
