"""Alessandro Zaccone was in the top 10 finishers in the European Superstock 600 series throughout 2014 and again in 2015 before moving on to the European Supersport Championship for the next two seasons. After that, Zaccone decided to leave the WorldSBK paddock to join the FIM CEV Repsol paddock, participating in the Moto2™ European Championship. In 2018, the Italian finished his European debut season with 4th overall. In 2019 he won his first race of the year in Estoril and improved the result of the previous season by finishing 3rd, something that helped him to get a seat in the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup for 2020 where he flew somewhat under the radar for P12 at the end of the year. For 2021 he signed for OCTO Pramac MotoE and immediately repaid their faith in him with an opening round victory in Jerez. Two further podiums had him top of the standings for a period but lady luck deserted the Italian in the final round at Misano, crashing out of Race 1 and declared unfit to partake in the season finale, he ended up 5th overall in the Cup standings. Gresini Racing Moto2 saw enough in those performance to hand him a seat in their intermediate class team for 2022 with Zaccone teaming up with Filip Salac.
