ライダーストーリー

Jake Dixon started his road racing career in 2010, competing in the Aprilia 125cc Superteens Championship in Britain. Dixon then advanced up to the Aprilia RRV450 Challenge Championship in 2011, before he advanced into the British National Superstock 600 cc Championship in 2012. From 2013 to 2015 Dixon raced in the National Supersport 600 Championship, finishing third in 2015. His chance to race in the British Superbike Championship came half way through 2017, but injury would put a premature end to his 2016 season. 2017 was a breakthrough year for the British rider, ending the season with two victories in the British Superbike Championship, eventually finishing sixth in the overall standings, as well as making a Moto2™ wildcard appearance at the British GP. 2018 would prove to be even better for Dixon, finishing runner-up to Leon Haslam in the British Superbike Championship standings. 2019 gave him his chance to prove himself on the world stage, as he teamed up with Angel Nieto Team for the Moto2™ season. Despite finishing in the points just twice that season, it didn’t stop him being recruited by Petronas Sprinta Racing for 2020. He became a regular among the points during the season and was devastatingly denied victory in a wet French GP, as he fell victim to the tricky conditions as he held a commanding lead. A broken wrist forced him out of the final three Grand Prix of the season, and that elusive maiden podium continued to evade him during 2021, but he did manage to fulfill one dream. The Dover native debuted in MotoGP™, filling in for the injured Franco Morbidelli at Petronas Yamaha SRT at the British and Aragon GPs. In 2022, he would join the Aspar Team for a pivotal year, clinching podium finishes on six occasions. The British rider would deliver a formidable performance in 2023, securing his first two victories in Assen and Catalunya. He would finish fourth in the World Championship and aims to contend for the title in 2024.
