The dust has barely settled at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli after hosting round seven of the WorldSBK Championship but 48 hours on and track action continues, this time with now MotoGP™ machines joining the fun.
Ducati Team’s official test rider Michele Pirro has swapped the Barni Racing Team Ducati Panigale V4 that he rode in the WorldSBK class over the weekend for a more familiar Desmosedici GP19. Pirro will be joined on track throughout Tuesday and Wednesday by the Aruba.it Racing factory Ducati squad of title leader Alvaro Bautista and Welshman Chaz Davies.
The Ducati trio don’t have the pleasure of having the track to themselves though, as Yamaha test rider Jonas Folger is also continuing his development work on the Yamaha M1, as well as preparing himself for a second outing on the Petronas Sprinta Racing Moto2™ machine at this weekend's Motul TT Assen.
